Denver & Salt Lake Reefer #60004 Kit

In April of 1913 the Denver & Salt Lake acquired 6 refrigerator cars from the Pullman Company. These cars were delivered in a vivid bright orange paint scheme and remained regular use until the 1948 merger of the Denver & Salt Lake and Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroads. 

These cars remained in constant use during their service life on the D&SL supplying food to the remote mountain communities of Northwestern Colorado. Their exact disposition after 1948 however they are presume scrapped shortly after the merger.
